yardage for turkeys

I have a one pin sight and was wondering what your average shot at a turkey would be like how far are they usually away? right now i got it set up at 30 yards and im hitting a silver dollar size circle with the gobbler getters and man they do hit just like field tips.

I never shoot them much past 20 yds. Most of the time I would say 10 to 20 yds. I have had them within 3 feet of me.

My average range for a bowkilled Gobblers is about 15 yards. I set up my Jake decoy right where I want to take the shot and nearly everytime it precisely positions the Tom.

I got one yesterday morning at the very end of what I would consider to be an acceptable range. I stepped it off afterward at 28 yards.

Turkey's have such a small kill zone ,you need to be accurate .I'd keep the range to 20yrds or less .I'm not saying you couldn't make the shot past 20yrds ,but just that this would be the best range.
