RE: What drop away do you like

Just curious, is the drop zone spring operated, magnet operated, or gravity operated?

It has a spring inside the housing where the launcher arm comes out. The spring forces the arm down and is raised by a string attached to the cable.

If you look at the pic that IL posted you can actually make out the spring in the opening in the vertical rectangle. There is a post the launcher travels on and the spring is around it.

Adams described it very well. The spring is actually a pair of them. TR refers to this as the Dual Thrust System and it is just a garauntee that you'll always have plenty of downward force to make the rest function flawlessly. So the DTS along with gravity, force the vertical launcher down for total fletch clearence everytime in every condition. It's a VERY effective system. The DZ draw cord is attached to your downward moving harness, thus the drawing action forces the rest to the up and ready position. If you bow works..... then so does you rest. It's also one of the simplest to set-up and tune rests you will EVER find, that I promise you!

Question for you Ill-cornfed , will the dropzone work on the new bowtech bows that want a 15/16's centershot ?

I've used the QT 4000, Trap Door, Trophy Taker Shaky Hunter, and the Drop Zone. I just bought my second Drop Zone for my Patriot. It's a great rest.

ijimmy, the Drop Zone has more than enough windage on my Allegiance.
