RE: My hog pic and story
Nice pic and hog. I am going for my first in a few months. I am still up in the air on what broad head to bring.

RE: My hog pic and story
bigbuck: I bought these heads because I found a good deal on ebay. I was going to shoot them at turkeys. I was extremely impressed with their performance.
As for the arrow wraps, you can get them from bowmanhunter at archerytalk.com or sometimes he has them listed on ebay. They are pretty sweet. |

RE: My hog pic and story
I love hog meat. I guess it's like most other stuff in that it depends on how you cook it. I've had it smoked, baked, fried, and grilled. Personally my favorite was about 5 years ago in Texas. We were at a dog "snake breaking" deal and one of our friends had killed a hog that morning. I'm not sure what he did to prep it (i'm currently trying to find out) but all i remember is that it was in those huge foil pans laying in the coals of the fire. It was soo good, I'm saving some of this one until I found out how to do it.
wihunter: what kind of stuff do you mix with the venison and hog in the sausage? thanks. |
