not any that I know of...I think Hoyt has something against selling bows via internet or mail (seems Matthews does too)

I know Basspro sells them at their stores, but not by mail

Hoyt and Mathews has what they call protected territory.This means that there is 1 dealer for a certain area and that is it.Mail order would infringe on those dealers in specific areas.Not all big chain stores can carry them in there stores.If someone has them before they got there then they won't have the bows.


The only place you might get a Hoyt new online is on Ebay and it would most likely be from an individual that is getting them from a local shop cheap and selling them there.


I personally would stay away from these bows and just go to a local dealer.It is much better if you need warranty work done or just need some advice.We really need to support the local guys when we can.We don't want all of them closing down and only have large chains in other states to deal with.

Various shop owners have told me that Hoyt doesn't sell online, which is why they established Reflex. I don't know why though.

I am the mgr. at a pro shop. The reason Hoyt dosn't do online is due to the teritory thing. If you don't know a dealer near you shoot me an e-mail.I don't feel like I should take advantage of the boards to make a sale so I can help you place an order with a dealer in YOUR area over the Phone or through e-mail.

Seems like a way to control the price of their bows to me. No competition in their areas at least not by their own product. I really doubt if the manufacturers do it as a favor to the shop owners. Theres got to be a catch. How does that give you the option to shop around? What does that do for the consumers? Would all the proshops really go out of business? I'd still go to the pro shop to have work done on my bow either way.

Just wondering.

The protected territory is a standard practice in many areas. This way the Manufacturer has &quot;confidance&quot; in that the store selling their product is a &quot;quality&quot; store and is receiving product training and support rather than just selling whats in stock.
Does it styfel competition? Maybe depending on the size of the territory however if the manufacturor recieves complaints they have a pretty large carrot to dangle in order the get teh shop to change its habbits. Most agreements I have seen are 2 to 3 year renewable deals.

hoyt don't sell mail order or chain stores because the service and warrenty is not avail. to the buyer. not only hoyt and mattews, if you check P S E, martin, high country,etc have a pro shop only line of bows.
