Dime a dozen, and I mean that, and its not restricted to compounds, its recurve shooters, rifle shooters, shotgun shooters, compound shooters - its widespread.

I agree. The rules in the majority of states say no crossbows except for the disabled!;)

BOWFANATIC - its means that the vast majority of bowhunters use the compound, thus there'll be more of the dedicated ones around (like on internet forums). However, because there are millionf using the compound, there'll also be more slobs using them (percentages don't you know). And no backstroke neccessary - theres slobs and ethics and lack of ethics and dedication throughout the ranks of bowhunters - but from what I've seen as a general rule trade guys HAVE to shoot year round to stay in tune with their bows.

Believe what you like I suppose. I shot a compound last fall, was glad to have it around and it was still a challenging hunt that I really enjoyed. And if I have to use a crossbow this fall, I'll enjoy that challenge too.

aeroslinger - not too bright are you ? everyone else seems to see the comparison, the analogy, the correlations .................. you still aint getting it.

thesource - I know my range, I know what feels like a good shot and what doesn't as well as anyone and better than some I suppose. And my practice ? I likely shoot a few thousand arrows more than most. But I'll still miss because I shoot a recurve. Its inevitable. If I were shooting compouds again I'd feel really silly missing deer ;)

recurver67 - because some people get what I'm saying. Some people don't

You need to get off your high horse and quit trying to start arguments with your fellow hunters. Honestly, what is it that you get out of doing what you do? What do you want us to say?

Would you like us to admit that we are not real hunters?

That we don't put in near the time and effort as you do?

Maybe we should all switch to traditional equipment?

Would that make you feel better?

You really need to get a life and quit trying to belittle your fellow hunters because like it or not many of us put in just as much effort if not more than you and are just as much hunters as you are. But, its not about whos better, it's about getting out there and enjoying nature so why don't you give it a rest.
