DIY Trail Camera
I've been looking for a project to get me through the off season and was thinking about building a trail camera. How many of you guys have pulled this off sucessfully? I was also wondering what controller people have used and had work for them. I've been doing some reading and have seen a lot of controllers out there and I'm unsure which to go with. Has anyone had any experience with the following:
Pixcontroller Fieldpix Game Camera controllers Any of the units on the Hag's House site Thanks, |
RE: DIY Trail Camera
I built my own this past fall. I used the board that comes from Hags house. It works far better than any other commercial camera out there. The only pics I get with nothing in them are the one after the deer has walked through the line of sight of the camera. I have it set to take 2 pics at a time so sometimes the 2nd pic has nothing. It wasn't hard to build. The guys on the board over there will help you with any questions you have.

RE: DIY Trail Camera
Ditto on what Titleist_03 said. I have built 2 using parts and boards from Hags and both were easy to build and work flawlessly. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!
