Bowhunting Magazines
I am looking to subscribe for a bowhunting mag but im not sure which one, there are so many. I did stop by Kroger and purchase a Bowhunter mag and I liked it. Which mags do you guys read?

RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I have not read this one, but I have heard Peterson's Bowhunting is a good magazine.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
i read petersons bowhunting its a pretty good book
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
Petersen's is pretty good. I get their regular mag and also Petersen's StickBow.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I like and get petersons too but I also get "Bowhunting Magazine"
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I subscribe to a bunch and think Bowhunter is the best.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I like Peterson's, but I wish they'd do honest product reviews. Every review they do is a glorified press release. I like their articles, but the magazine is incomplete, IMO.

RE: Bowhunting Magazines
Peterson's or Bowhunting World normally. I like the specific blend of equipment and hunting strategy articles.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I subscribe to Traditional Bowhunter Magazine, I also get Peterson's although my subscription ran out years ago.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I like Bowhunting World, Bowhunter, and Petersen's. Bowhunting World is my favorite.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
yeah i have to agree that peterson's bowhunting is about the best. bowhunt america has some pretty good stuff also.
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
Peterson's is the best IMO. I also like Bowhunting World, especially when Chuck Adams has a good article.
I just got a by first subscription to Primitive Archer. It is very interesting, lots of good stuff there. |
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
While I enjoy them all.I like Bow and Arrow hunting and Bowhunter magazine the best. Bow and Arrow has some pretty honest product evaluations and they have an Archery coaching feature every issue with Tim Stricland which is always very good.

RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I like Bow and Arrow Hunting the best. It has the most technical info IMO. Peterson's is good and has a good mix of tech stuff and hunting stories/tactics. I used to subscribe to bowhunter also but it gets worse every year, a few stories, fewer tactics, no technical info and a whole lot of advertisements.

RE: Bowhunting Magazines
I really like Peterson's Bowhunting & also Bow & Arrow hunting.

RE: Bowhunting Magazines
Eastmans Bowhunting Journal!
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
anything eastmans is awesome. bowhunting world and petersons bowhunting are great too. dont like bowhunter anymore, every issue is the same. a couple letters scratching the editors back, the little tidbits section (the only decent part), at least 2 articles on how to take a whitetail with a bow. one story, whatever animal the guide happened to get m.r. james next to this month, one "exotic" animal how too, usually elk, muleys, bears, or antelope, maggies section, which isnt near as good as it used to be, but still not bad, then theres always one readers story, the one witha small black and white pic, and short and to the point, and last one more by m. r. james. i have a lot of respect for all of those guys, but it seems to me that they only want famous authors.
just my opinion brad |
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
'Eastman's Bowhunting Journal' and (not 100% bowhunting but nevertheless good) 'Deer & Deer Hunting'
|
RE: Bowhunting Magazines
