my pro shop has some left over typhoone and avelanche. drew them both back reel smooth. i kind like the longer alxel lenth on the typhoone. but would like feed back on both thanks.

I have an 05 Avalanche. I don't shoot it very much anymore but I did use it today because I wanted to try something with it. My thoughts ont he Avalanche is that it pulls over smooth with no hump but it is a stiff draw overall in my opinion. I liked the way the bow felt when I shot it and basically picked it up and had great groups with it so I traded in my old bow on it. The Avalanche does have a very short valley and will cure you of creeping. This could be a good thing for you. When I catch myself creeping into the longer valleys on my Oneidas I know I better get the Darton out because it will take off on you if you aren't carefull. Hmm, what else...

I haven't shot the typhoon but have shot the vapor and the Maverick. The vapor, I didn't like the short riser on it and it had a lot more shock. The maverick had quit a bit of handshock but that was easily fixed with a couple accesories the guy has since put on that bow. The Maverick SD is a great bow for someone with a short draw if you want to mess with reducing the handshock. I was told it had something to do with the design of the limbs and riser being different. Deflex vs reflex or something like that (My memory escapes me). But you asked about the typhoon, sorry can't help you on that. My shop had one but it went out the door real fast. All the Darton's do it seems... I keep hoping he will bring in a Tempest but I doubt he will. Oh well, I don't need another bow.

Funny thing about Darton bows. A guy I know got all set up with an Outback and custom shafts to bear hunt in Alaska. When it arrived there was a brocher from the shop with it. On the cover was a picture of the guys of the shop holding bows. They were all Darton's.

Bows are very personal things and what you like others won't. I love my Dartons I have two Rampages and set them up the same. I like the smoot draw, and the way the bows point and feel. I love the extra speed they provided, the solid back wall, and I shoot them better than any other bows I have had. The CPS system is very adjustable and fit's my "experamental" nature well. The older ones were hard on strings and cables, but I hear the newer version is much better in this area.

I purchaced a Darton Tundra a few months ago and so far I really like the bow. As
stated above the CPS system is very adjustable unlike my Mathews Ovation. The
bow is accurate when I do my part and I like the solid back wall. I bought the bow
mainly for hunting and 3-D which I think will serve me well. If I were going to buy
another bow today it would be another Darton.

I have a 2004 Darton Typhoon, I bought it last spring. I highly recommend you shoot the Darton bows for yourself. You might love the Typhoon? I sure do.

I've shot several dartons and liked them very well. For a hunting bow I wanted something smoother and quiter. My next bow I am buying, probably in a month or so, will be a Darton. I am still undecided between the Tempest and the avelanch. I am buying it strictly for 3-D. I am going with darton because thier bows are fast and deadly accurate to boot.

I'd choose the one that fits you the best. Not that one is better than the other, just that particular model would be the better for you. I've owned Dartons in the past and they were a quality product.

Anyone here ever shot the Vegas from Darton? Not to many shops that carry Darton have those on the shelves and I was just wondering how they pulled compared to other Dartons.. Always thought about getting a real target bow and that one appealed to me because I do like my Avalanche...
