Kentucky Record Non-typical pics

These pics were sent to me.

According to the email.....

"Shot in Livingston, KY during gun season
Roger saw it chasing a doe and thought it looked pretty big

Shot at 150 yds

Field dressed at 215 lbs

He's been told the head might sell for $100 to 200K

North American Whitetail shot the story and it will air next fall

Buck Master measured the antlers and said it is a new state record

Boone & Crockett will wait until the antlers dry and then measure but
scored a preliminary 287

The state record was broken about two years ago and had a score of 260"

That rack looks dangerous. Can you imagine what would happen to another deer if they were sparring.

What a great buck. Kind of reminds of Medusa (i.e. snakes coming from the head going in different directions). Very nice.

What an awesome buck... How come the people in the pictures always have blank expressions... My smile would reach my ears if I was to even see something like that!!

This is the KY State record and scores 270 5/8" B&C and was displayed at a few shows this season labeled as such. The buck was a pick-up rack, found dead this past season.

My sources tell me that the buck you have pictured can NOT be scored and Officially entered because there is NO measurable FRAME??? In fact that rack nearly looks identical to the Lock "Buck" taken near Canton, IL in '92 that was actually an antlered DOE with 26 scorable points. The Lock deer was featured in North American Whitetail years ago. I'll see if I can find a photo for comparisons sake, you won't believe how similar the 2 animals are.

^^^I'm with you! I don't see how it can be scored b/c I thought it had to have a "frame" with distinct main beams......and I'm not seeing any definitive main beams on that deer. Albeit......that's a VERY nice deer!!

Yep, what IL-Cornfed said. The new record above was shot and then later found by the same hunter and is the new state record NON. The other deer can't be "scored" because there is no main beam.

That definately is one awesome looking deer:)
I do agree with Il and a few others on how this deer can't be officially scored.I always had the understanding the deer needed a main frame, and I dont see one.
Its one that I would definately love to see on my wall though:)
