Early season scents?
 

Bow season starts in 8 days here in Kentucky and its finally starting to cool off. What are peoples favoite scents now since the rut is at least a month away. I assume some work better closer to breeing season. I've never bow hunted this early or had much luck with scents. I was also thinking of experimenting with a call, Any recommendations?

I only use cover scents early on. Raccoon urine or some other scent to cover mine. I too believe that bucks are leery of doe in heat scents too far before the rut.

i agree with the others. i use an earth scents or a nutral scent until the rut comes in.i've found that fox pee will also alert deer and it will run them off.
