What have you found in the woods?
 

Just wondering if any of you have found weird stuff in the woods. It can be hunting relates or anything.

Last week I found 2 arrows tipped with broadheads and a bow hanger.

Last season my friend found a bow hanger that looked very similar to his dad's that he lost...well it turns out that it was the one that his dad lost and my friend wasn't even hunting with him when he lost it. What are the odds.

So let's hear it.

I found a shotgun a few seasons back 2 or 3 day of season .
A little rusty but still usable.
It was leaning against a tree not far from my tree stand .
I am the only one that has permission to hunt the farm.
My only guss is a tresspassing squirel hunter lost it .
I gave it to the land owner.
He uses it to shoot starlings now.

Found a flash light turkey hunting one year, duck call, half a case of bud light(on the river), arrows and stuff like that all the time. The best find was a gerber multi-tool.

Nothin special, just a couple of seat cushions over the years.

I found an abandoned mine last fall. I've seen the signs that warn people not to go near them, but I had never seen one until then. We had just finshed dragging a buck down a hill and were standing there catching our breath. I was starring at the hill when I though to myself "why are those rocks stack so neatly," then it hit me.

I did a little reasearch and found out that the land we hunt used to be a mining town and the pieces started to fall together. I've seen things like metal poles in the middle of the woods and old broken down buildings in odd places. I've since found out that the metal pole was a road sign, and one of the buildings was once a jail house. I've seen pictures of the old town and now where it once stood there is nothing but trees (and from the pictures it looked like a decent sized town.)

Now that I think about it, its too bad we can't flatten more towns to make public hunting land.

Cool kodiak, one of our conservation areas used to be a weapons storage or something along those lines during WWII and there are bunkers built along the roads.

I found a beautiful buck knive with the leather sheath. Perfect condition.

I figured out how the guy lost it. He was answering a nature call and it fell from his belt when he dropped his drawers.

I know cause I almost lost it that way later.:D

What i thought was a deer twice the size as the norm turned out to be nothing more than a brush pile and that the squirrels were not out to get me after all.

Found my stand and then later in the day about 2 hrs. after dark, found my way out.:D Did't find any deer but didn't lose any ammo. Did lose a button and a lens cover. Lost a few pounds.Found a memory.o:D(
