I ran accross this tonight and thought all you guys might want to hear/download this. It is what some have dubbed the Bowhunters Theme Song. It is "Fred Bear" by Ted Nugent. It is hard to believe this song is new to anyone that has been in the hunting community for a while. :)

I enjoy it much more now than when I first heard it.

not the best song IMO but i gotta like it either way. ill stick with hank jr a country boy can survive as my all time top fav right now.

Josh Turner has a song named "Backwoods Boy." It's not a great song but hunters might like the lyrics. It's country, I don't have a way to download it but it's out there if anyone is interested. my neighbor just got a the Nudge outdoor songs CD and it has that song and several other songs on it
he (33yrs old) thinks he is hot stuff "trying" to rock to the music

But... To make matters worse your from Michigan; I thought listening to the Motor City Madman was required in those parts during Bow season. I'll have to check the DNR booklet, maybe something changed.

i love uncle ted but his type of music isn't really my thing....until this song...hee hee giggle giggle.
every season every year i make a huntin' tape and this one will be on the next...without a doubt.


backwoods boy by josh turner is an AWESOME song....first time i heard it on the radio i got all teary eyed...lol.
then while sittin' in my stand during muzzleloader season i was singin' "waitin' on a deer, wishin' on a star" and when i looked up there was my 10pt...he didn't have 11in. tines but a buck of a lifetime nontheless....y'all really need to hear it if y'all haven't.

That Josh Turner Song is Great!!!! I never heard that one before, and I'm a country fan. I guess he just wasn't on my radar. More of a Hank Jr, and Waylon fan. If anyones looking for it you can download it for $.99 of of I-Tunes.

Thanks. I like rock n roll the way he plays it. I'm amazed you youngsters like this oldster. You may not know, but when when he was popular (when I was in high school) he was the anti-drug rock star. I always respected him for this. I also admire him for trying to promote hunting, though I don't like his methods of diong so. He is just too strange.

As long as I'm not looking at him, I sure like his guitar.
