RE: pendulum site
I love pendulums to hunt with. Currently I am using a savage pendulum. It is very accurate out to about 25 yds which I don't shoot farther than anyways. A faster bow would probably gain more distance. Ground hunting its good to about 22 before it starts dropping off pretty fast. Again, that is with a slower bow. I have since switched to carbons after last season, but i have not shot to see what i have gained as far as distance goes.

I too like pendulum sights I never hunt from the ground so I think it is the only way to go for a treestand hunter that is not very good at judging distance. I have tried the keller that was my first pendulum I shot it for 2 or 3 years it was very accurate but it was noisy and the older it got the noisier it got but you can lock it down for ground shooting also mine was good to about 25 yrds on the ground. The past 2 seasons I shot the impact archery treetop pendulum angain it was very accurate but after a while it would stop moving very freely it would stick so I had to take it apart and clean it to make it work right again so I quit using that site and it couldn't be locked down but it was good to about 20 yards on the ground. For the coming bow season I have purchased another impact product it is the bravo pendulum it has 2 feet of fiber optics a very bright pin and made total different than the treetop and it can be locked down. I haven't got a chance to try it out because I am waiting on my new bowtech to arrive. The sight looks very promising though. I bought mine off of ebay for $35.00 including shipping. I think it normally sells for around $70.00. And one other thing about the keller it sucks in low light condition IMHO it has a light but it puts out so much light I couldn't see anything but the site with the light on maybe poor I sight. And the impact treetop also comes with a light but it is very nice in low light conditions. I hope this helps but they are my inpression someone else may disagree.

I'm trying one out for the first time this year. I got the TR Mantis Guide Series. It is lockable on the ground and very nice to shoot from a treestand. So far I've been very impressed with it and would recommend it highly.

Ive used one for over 10 years and would hunt with nothing else from an elevated tree stand ...nothing worse then to FINALLY get a day off from work and then to get up three hours before day light ...drive 75 miles ...walk to your stand ...set there all day and fight either heat and skeeters or the cold ...spend all the money it takes to hunt ...finally get a nice buck to stumble into your shooting lane and you blow the shot because you misjudged the distance ... yeh pendulum sites are a good way to go!
