in my setup, they seem too plain a little too much. but i did get them dialed in enough too kill a deer with them, witch the shot was a clean pass through, and left a heck of a hole.but all in all i like my montecs better.but that is just my opinion.[&:]

i think your supposed too have a right offset or a right helical fletched arrow.i shoot with an offset.maybe with a right helical the crimsons would fly a little better? but myself, i am going to strictly shoot the G5's from now on. good luck

Will they kill game, yes. The problem is that they are not real durable and the cost twice as much as other heads. I think that for the same money you can get 6 Muzzys, Hammers or thunderheads. All of which are more durable, just as accurate, and much sharper.

I agree w/ 5shot. they cost way too much for there worth. you can by more dependable broad heads at a lesser cost. I like Rocky mountain Gator XP'S. they fly like a field point and leave a huge hole. and are very durable.

The only thing I would shoot a Crimson Talon with would be a trash can. I have heard too many bad things about them. Go with the Muzzy's.

I had some pretty good luck with the Crimson Talon's this year. I firmly believe in getting as much arrow spin as possible and the darn quickspins fleches are just too noisy. They are very accurate, I've never had one break, and if you shop on line are no more expensive that other top quality broadheads. I used the viper venoms which are the cut on contact version and the entire blade is replaceable so you don't have to sharpen it.
My only real problem was in practice. You realy can't pull the arrow back out of your target. I had to make a foam target with layers of polystyrene foam (coffee cup foam) and push/pull the arrow completley through.

I don't know if the company addressed the problem, but last I knew the blades were busting off all the time
