this year i passed on 7, 4 with my bow and 3 with my gun, all does and button bucks, didnt get a whole lot of 4 pointers to walk by which i would have passed up as well

Passed on three yearling bucks and I don't know how many does, 30-40 maybe. I'd see six or eight does at a time where I hunt. I didn't even hunt my really good spot this year since my son has been sick. We've seen 50 deer in one day there, mostly does.

I passed on three bucks during the first week of Pa's archery season and ended up taking an 8pnt on the first saturday.

I passed on numerous does this past year, to many to remember during rifle season. I did shoot a small 4 point during rifle, and a button buck during late muzzleloader, which I wouldn't have shot but it was tough to see those little buttons at 60 yards with open sights. This will be my first year bowhunting, and I can't wait to get started!!

With the bow, I passed up 3 bucks in the 100 to 115 inches range within 25 yards. One was beneath me for 10 minutes. I have no ideal how many 1.5 year bucks that was within 25 yards of me. My guess would be 10 to 15. Had one 4 pointer underneath me for over an hour eating acorns. I end up shooting a doe and a button buck (a mistake) and no bucks because of my choice. I also shot 3 sprouts while taking shots at does which is about as many sprouts that I have taken in the last 20 years. They don't eat so well.

I passed on countless bucks from 140's and below. I only saw 3 bucks that were well over 150. Non of them offerred a shot and the dang end-stuffers screwed up my best spot. Next year I hope to go to the same spot and see new homes built. This will keep the end stuffers far away and return this honey hole back to it's rightful owner "ME". The only reason I shot my buck for the contest was the contest. I would have never shot him. I would have dropped the bambi first.
