Broad Heads

Do you prefer cut on contact or chisel points?

I like them both, and each has it's own advantages and disadvantages, and in the balance I think both styles work very well.

RE: Broad Heads

Most people don't realize that most(notice I said most) chisel point broadheads(I use Muzzys so they are the stype of chisel point I am talking about, not the cone pointed ones) can be sharpened so they become cut on contact.
I believe Thunderheads come with an edge.
Put the tips to a stone and most will come out razor sharp and hold that edge.

What do I like? Cut on contact Chisel point broadheads of the brand Muzzy!

I've used thunderheads the past 5 years and wont change. They shoot well in my set up and had them go threw both shoulders and exit in one piece.

I recently took a BIG water buffalo in Argentina with 125-grain Thunderheads. While I was a bit underpowered for the big animal, the 125-grain Thunderheads worked GREAT!

While dressing the buffalo, we recoved the 3 broadheads I used to take him, and even the one that broke through the BIG rib of the animal was still in tact. All 3 blades were in place. Nothing broken.

I was very impressed with not only the sharpness and effectiveness of the Thunderhead, but it's durability as well.

I will continue to shoot them in the future.
