TOO FAST FOR EXPANDABLES!!!!!

Thats my question. My bow shoots over 300fps and I have never had a bow til now shoot over 275 or so. Was just needing some advice on mechanicals and this speed. Any you have tried and had good experiences with or bad alike. I'm worried about premature opening. ANY THOUGHTS?

It's nice to hear that. I switched to mechanicals at the end of the 04 season. Have been wondering about them and how they'll do. They fly and hit just like my field points. I can't wait to hunt with them.

Dont remember the model I shoot, but I just put two rubber bands around them instead of one and havnt had any problems.

If your bow is shooting 300fps, i dont think you have a heavy enough arrow then. I may be wrong though.

Not heavy enough. Your shooting animals, not targets.

Mine will push a 401 grain arrow at 303 fps @ 29 inches and 70 pounds.

That is more than enough arrow weight.
