I'm with deer-hunter18 on this one. What causes the arrow to fishtail in flight? I've seen it and always wondered I guess. Come on someone's gotta know.

ever throw a football or something with some weight. it takes a while to straighten out. thats why the vanes are on arrows is to stabilize

Yeah I know, but they shouldn't fishtail so you can see it, should they?

If your FOC is below 7% your arrow will fishtale. Also a arrow out of tune can fishtale but will straten itsself out if the FOC is balanced correctly. Yes vanes can and will help but only up to a certin point.

It might be a weak spine issue ,or your arrow rest might need a bit of adjustment.

Well i thought it was going to be a weak spine too but im shooting axis 400's. I wish I knew what to do it is getting frusterating.[&o]

I too had the same problem and I came to find out that my nock point was to low. I also found that I was not centered correctly. Once corrected my arrows fly true. Check out the website. Lots of info.

I'd definetly check your arrow rest or nock point now .These are usually the 3 thing's you check first when having arrow flight problem's.
