Is this buck a Doe (Cam Pics)???
Ok guys - help me out.
This picture is from Early October - The deer have lost their velvet about 3-4 weeks ago -
Does anyone think this buck might really be a doe? Look at its skinny neck, and body? Also - not the funny "Bump" on its head between the antlers - like an extra pedicle - start of another beam? Maybe its a piebald cross or something - it just doesn't look right!!
To follow is a normal looking 1-1/2yr buck for early October and a Doe from the same roll of film. These are deer from the same property for comparison.
I'm curious what others think. We think this deer made it - or dispersed - it wasn't taken on our property anyhow.

It does have the ruff patch of hair between the antlers like most bucks not smooth like a does.
It also looks like hair sticking up to me. I think it is just the pic.

Is it just me or is that buck very eerie looking. I don't know if it's the way the white goes all the way around the eyes or what but it almost looks fake.
I agree, I think it is a buck......a weird looking buck

It's really hard to say. It's probably just a young buck and that's why it looks so "doe eyed." Next time put the camera at a lower angle and leave a sign asking the deer to lift their legs.
