In my quest for the (near) perfect bow, I asked my local BT dealer about the 2005 Patriot and he said that this year's model had fallen out of favor with most archers. Said something about some modifcations they did from the previous years models. Specificly, he said they shortened the brace height. I also haven't seen much talk abou them on the net.
It looks on paper like a great bow, but now I'm not so sure. Anybody shot one? What'd you think? I've shot the Old Glory and Allegiance. They are nice and quiet, very fast, with a rock solid back wall, but I didn't care for the draw cycle of the equilizer cams. What can you tell me? Thanks.

THe Pat is a great bow. It is like the alliegance with not quite the speed and a solocam. It you didn't care for the Alliegance's draw cycle than you would probably like the Pat. It has the traditional solocam cycle.

I tested at a local shop a 2005 Patriot , but was unable to test a 2004, (did not realize at the time i was there he had 2004's??)they told me that they made a different type of cam (cam and a half) for the 2005's, they're 2004's were like about $150 cheaper than the new models,,i'm going to go back just to see if there is any real difference between the years before i buy.

I was in the same situation about a month ago. I did a bit of research, and everything I could find stated that the only difference between 04' and 05' patriots is the color of the cams. I bought a 04 and saved a pile of money.........
