My friend is going on a bowhunt there and wants me to go.Has anyone been to the island bowhunting? Just wondering if it's any good

Never been there but the island is crawling with deer. It is every Quebec resident deer hunters dream to hunt Anticosti. 2 deer limit with near 100% sucess rate for rifle. Not sure about archery stats.

know a guy who knows a guy who wen there had 100% but with a rifle but from what he said, it is unreal just deer everywhere wouldent even have to leave the backyard if ya didnt want too

I haven't been there but one theme I keep hearing is that while ther are tons of deer the bucks just aren't very big (rack-wise), considering the money you have to spend.

If you like "cushy" accomodations and like to be told where to sit and for how long until you shoot your deer, then I hear it's the place for that, if you like to work for your deer and earn them then maybe not.
