Team Lung Busters...White Deer Mount...pic's!

I got my pie balled full body mount back today. $503.50 tax and all. I am very happy with the work. I will decorate the foot board alittle better once I get it home.

The deer antlers on the board in the last pic's are of the 9pt I took following this past seasons muzzleloader hunt. With no digital camera I couldn't get the pic's up to enter him in the contest for Team Lung Busters. I am truely sorry I couldn't get a pic of him and enter him for our team. I did however just purchase a new digital camera with 5 mega pixel(took the pic's with it). I love the camera and will get more pic's for you guys.

But I wanted to share the new pic's with you guys, and the white deer.

They aren't showing up for me either and I'm at home. BTW I'm realatively new here and I don't know what "Team Lung Busters" is but in my opinion it's a pretty poor choice for a name. I'm sure whoever is on the team is a good bunch but the name again IMO gives the anti's just the sort of thing they want to peg us as a bunch of blood thirsty jerks.

Team Lung Busters was the name for our 2004 bow hunting contest team. LOL. It's not a official group or anything.

I got to see the thumb nail, but when I clicked on it there was nothing. From what I did see they looked great!!!

That is very cool. Nice mount and great price. Congrats on a fine trophy.

Very nice! That price was awesome too... you got a SUPER deal. A shoulder mount here in central PA runs for an average everyday'r at $325 up to a show quality piece at about $525. Yours is a beauty indeed... gotta love the in motion action pose.

I really like the unique features of albinos and piebalds. That is a very cool looking mount and with it running in motion makes it look like it wants to take off any minute now.
You were mentioning you wanted to decorate the platform a little more-------can I make a suggestion---Design a log fence, the farm style in the front of the deer and it will look like its running and ready to clear the fence, maybe put a little shrub at the base of the post.
I still am shocked at the price you got the mount done at $503.50.I have 3 head mounts done and they cost me $500 bones apeice,Its true, you definately get what you pay for and I would have no problem getting another one done at this price. The wife wants a full body mount of a buck jumping a fence and the price will run me $1500.Im not sure what the average price is but $1500 sounds reasonable.

Man I hear ya... he got the mother of all deals. A full mount here is right on your mark... $1500 scooters. It will be competition ready, but it is a major investment, yessir. I hunt with my taxidermist on occassion and I serioulsy doubt he'd go below $1300 for me. [&o]

I have to say for 500 bux your taxidermist did a heck of a job! I think full body mounts run 1500-2000 around here. I can't really tell the small details but the pics look good!

I had no idea it was such a deal. When the other shops within 100miles wanted $800+ I was like dang. Then he told me around $500 total I was like I'm on my way. Took the deer to him on Nov 11, 2004....it was done Feb 12, 2005. Awesome turnaround time to say the least. Tax and all it came to $503.50. I have thought about going ahead and getting the head mount done...($275). I also priced a full body buck jumping the fence at $900-1000 depending on how long it takes to get it set up, from the same guy. Seems like he has great prices, and his work is awesome.

I've looked at the deer about all day and sometimes it looks like it could run off the platform at anytime. I can get close ups if you guys want to see any detail. Everything is great. The guy done a super job. I've heard you get what you pay for, and if that's the case this is the best $500 I have ever spent hunting wise. He done a marvelous job to sayt he very least. I don't see one problem with anything on the deer....the only noticable spot is alittle bit of short hair where the arrow went in, and came out. But it never left a bare spot, just a place where the hair is "trimmed".

So far I added a few fake leaves to the platform to cover most of the wood, and I put my arrow underneath the deer. When I shot the little guy my arrow went through him and into a small rotted log about the size of my forearm. I saved the arrow/log as I found it, and now it's under the deer. Sorta looks like the shot just missed. Has a cool effect...once I get it finished I will add some pic's. I really want to set up a small shrub or bush on the back side towards his head. That would complete the picture as far as I'm concerned.

I got my pie balled full body mount back today. $503.50 tax and all. I am very happy with the work. I will decorate the foot board alittle better once I get it home.

That really does not seem like a bad price at all? Seeing how a buddy of mine took a very nice 140-class-11pt this past Dec. He is getting a competition shoulder mount and this place is charging him $600.00 So a full body mount for 503.50 out the door? Not bad at all!!
