RE: What drop away?
I have a lot of good comments about the TKO.
I have a Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter and love it. Give a TTSH a serious look. |
RE: What drop away?
I just put a trophy ridge drop zone on my Q2..I'm really happy with it. I had to put a little piece of rubber under the arm because it made some noise when it dropped. Now its real quiet..Not to sure how I felt about paying 100.00 for a rest and had to remedy the noise the first day..From what I've heard though, they all make noise upon arrow release.

RE: What drop away?
I have heard nothing but excellent reviews for the TKO, you would be doing yourself and your bow a favor by adding it to your equipment.

RE: What drop away?
I don't have much personal experience with the HHA or the TKO, but I also shoot a dropzone and love it. I would also recommend the trophy taker.

RE: What drop away?
I recently changed from a TKO to A Drop Zone. The TKO was Ok But there is no comparison to the Drop Zone. The Drop is a much better rest. I have also heard a alot of good things abount the Muzzy Zero and Trophy Taker Shakey. Good Luck!

RE: What drop away?
Have any of you heard of the rip cord? If so what do you think? I am looking at that one and the Trophy Taker.

RE: What drop away?
For how many times I have said this I should be on their payroll.................. APA Twister Safari, can't say enough good things about it Both containment and drop away. Works excellent!! You might want to have a look at it.

RE: What drop away?
Schaffers in my humble opinion makes the best drop away rest out there.

RE: What drop away?
If you want a containment and drop away rest, consider the QAD Ultra Rest. I really like mine.

RE: What drop away?
Hmmm... lot of them out there... personally I don't care for the attachment cables. A close friend swears by the Trophy Ridge drop away, I've seen it up close and it is nicely machined. Now Bowtech has a great little feature on their cable slide to tie off on, which is nice... but I still don't like the pull back / raise the rest feature cable thing.
I did use a drop away rest made by Barner, many years ago, for target and it worked really well. The Barner used a magnet block and a sear engagment, like on a gun trigger, that you adjust from light to heavy. It drops out of the way clean with no cable. The only one I've seen similar today would be the Trap Door... but I've not owned one to say good or bad about it. I did accidentally invent my own drop away rest this past season... the only bad thing was it dropped away while attached to my bow when I was about 25 feet up on stand. LOL. That's a drop way away and a half. Don't try that at home... it's kinda hard on your gear. [&:][8D] |
