which Hoyt is best?

Which hoyt is best XTEC,VTEC or VIPER TEC. THe bow would be for hunting and for some target shooting. I like all the bows just not sure which is best. Still haven't shot them I want to wait till i have money. Can't stand to get over excited over what i can't have now on the spot. It will have to wait till summer so i can get a job an save some money. Also what one do you think would sell better in a couple of years. Just a litte thinking towards the fueture.

thanks dan

The Vtec is better than the Xtec and a rep. told me that I would be perfect for the Vipertec cause i am only 5"4". I f I had the $$$$ I would get the Vtec but for this year I will use my Raider/Intruder.

You would be hard pressed to find any difference between the Vtec and Xtec. They are bacically the same bow, with different gadgets(grips and silencers)

The vipertech is the modern day version of the Havoctec. I personally don't like short bows and the vipertech rings in at around 31 inches or so. I will say this, my cousin, who is 6'2 shoots the havoctec and can absolutely drive tacks with it. So, shoot em all and pick the one you like best.

I agree with DC. As far as the vipertec, it is indeed a bow for people that have a shorter draw length or are smaller in size. My friend is 5'7" with a 27" draw and really likes his. Shoot them all and see which one feels the best to you.

Xtec and Vtec are pretty much the same. Grip on the Vtec and Vipertec certainly don't feel as "skinny" as with the Xtec. Some like that feel...I am not one of them. The limbs on the Vipertec (32.5 ATA) are more parallel than the other two, but isn't quite as smooth on the draw (typical in smaller bows). I bought the Vipertec over the Xtec because it felt better in my hands and like the idea of a smaller bow when on stand, etc. Bottom line...they're all good bows.

I have a new Ultratec and love it - very smooth on the line and not too long for hunting.

I think that my Magnatec is the best because I got it for only $175 brand new on clearance. That is alot of bow for the buck. For hunting and doing a little shooting,it is more than enough for my needs.

I shot the V-tec & X-tec side-by-side. The V-tec in my hands felt better balanced than the X-tec. I have not shot the Viper-tec?
If I had to pick between the V-tec & X-tec? I would pick the V-tec. Other than the slightly better balance of the V-tec, I could not tell the two bows apart.

While the xtec and VTEC share similarities the risers are the big difference. The VTEC has a frame totally engineered to take away bow input to a shooter. The ideal for the VTEC is to reduce all vibration and shock which gives the shooter feedback. Less vibration and shock smoother shooting equal more accuracy. The Sims Vibration Principle.

I personally like the less feedback given from the VTEC riser. I thought yeah right whats the difference in a riser. The VTEC makes me concentrate more on the pin and less on the grip allowing for no occassional bow torque and drifting arrows. I traded a Havoctec and bought the VTEC. I therefore am happy now.

Shoot them all and see what you like the best. They are all very good. I personally shoot the ViperTec. It is actually 32 & 1/2" long. It is the shortest model they make. Someone above mentioned that it is for smaller people, but I am 6', 255lb, & have a 30" draw and have no problems shooting it. I had a Havoctec before, and it was "Too Light" for me. I think all 3 are great bows... shoot them all and then decide.
