Arthur P, How many turns to incr bow 1 pound?
 

I have the Hoyt Super Slam Fast Flite and know you have three of them. Maybe all bows are similar in terms of the number of turns to increase the draw weight one pound, but i am not sure. Anyway, if anyone knows, pls let me know. I seem to recall someone saying every four revelutions equals one pount, but i am not sure.

Tealboy, 4 turns would come closer to 10 pounds than one pound. All bows are a little different, depending on design, poundage, age, where they are set in their draw weight range (high/middle/low), and how many thousands of arrows they've shot but, generally, I believe 1 turn would equal something like 2 pounds or so.

Yeah, i just turned both top and bottom three times each and it made a big difference in term of difficulty to pull back. When you say 4 turns is close to 10 lbs, you do mean 4 turns top and 4 turns bottom for a total of 4, not 8, right?

I think i will back mine off one turn. I was at 57 lbs, with 100 grain tips, 32 inch 340 Bemans, so i wanted to bump it up a bit.

Right. 4 turns top + 4 turns bottom would = somewhere around 8-10 lbs.

Rule of thumb is 3 lbs for every turn of the limb bolts. That means if you turn the top one full turn and the bottom one full turn you would have increased your draw weight about 3 pounds. you turn the top and bottom the same to keep them equal. So for one pound about 1/3 turn on each one..
