Same as Matt when it comes to hunting. I just recently added a 50 yard pin since I'm heading out for Mule Deer in September. When you're shooting, there isn't much difference at 10 and 20 yards, so you really don't need a 10 yard pin. Just learn to aim a little lower at 10 yards and you'll be fine.

I keep my slider set at 26.5 yards. If I have time to adjust, I do, if not, I either hold a little low, dead on, or a little high.

Why not just hold a litlle high or low anyway? Seems to be a lot easier.

I Shoot A Five Pin Sight Set At: 15, 25, 35, 45, 55

I shoot 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards for the field/hunter target rounds. Split the pins and you have 25, 35, 45 and 55 right on. If you go to a novelty shoot where you need a 70 yard pin, hold your 60 pin on the target, look where your 50 pin is, mark that spot mentally and put your 60 pin on that spot. You have an EXACT 70 yard hold off. Need an 80 yard pin? Hold the 60 pin on target, spot your 40 yard pin than hold your 60 on the spot you established with your 40 and you have a 80 yard, right on hold off. This works with any setup able to reach this distance, but your pins MUST be set at to EXACT yardage. This is also a good tool to make sure your 40, 50 and 60 are right on. You own me a steak off the next meat tray you win.:D

I hunt with a pendulem sight now. But when I used pins, they were set at 20 and 30 yards.

sniper151,
That doesn't work--your arrow WILL drop more from 60-70 than it will from 50-60.each pin progrssively gets farther apart as the distance grows.

I shoot an adjustable pendulum sight. It's zeroed at 20 for indoors. When I go hunting, I zero it at 25 and I'm dead on from 5 to 30yds. Anything longer than that I aim higher.

Well I hunt with a pendulum, but right now I have fixed pins on my bow for turkey hunting and just practicing in the yard. They are 26, 33 and 40 yds.

They're set at 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60. The 50 and 60 are for practice only. For hunting purposes, they're just decorations.
