Recommend a finger shooting bow
I have an old '91 XI Magnum that I finger shoot, instinctive. I love the bow, it's quiet and dependable. But I'm starting to see some de-lamination on the limb edges and think it's time to start looking for another bow. Most of todays bows have such short axle to axle length and almost perpindicular limbs, not good for fingers. Anyone have some suggestions for a mid-priced bow? I'll tell you up front I'm not big on PSE, I don't like their grips and haven't been too impressed with their stuff. I understand that a large part is going to be which bow feels right in my hands since I shoot instictively. So I'd like a list of bows to check out.

Talon, Hoyt is about the only manufacturer that offers a longer axle to axle fingers bow. The Ultra Tec and Pro Tec are from 41" to 48" ata. If you have an extremely long draw length the Pro Tec offers the LX Pro limbs that are recurve limbs with a 9" brace height. If your looking to cut some off the price I would check out new last year models bows. Try a few different models to find the one that fits you best then shop for price.

There are several in the Martin lineup that work well for finger shooters. Shadowcat, RazorX, Cougar III, to name a few. They can be had in various cam and limb configurations to give ample ATA for finger shooters, as in over 40" ATA. And quality second to none. You can check them out at www.martinarchery.com. As you said, you'd have to shoot them and see if they feel good to you.
