Worth the $?

I was trying to see if anyone has used Plot Saver to protect their food plots during the first few weeks of growth? I am planting a small plot and I want to ensure the plants are able to reach good development before the deer begin heaving grazing. Does Plot Saver work as well as they say? And will it discourage deer from visiting my plot during bow season when I plan on hunting it? Thanks for the help

RE: Worth the $?

I ponder the use of plot saver last year when I started my two plots. In the end I didn't use it but the deer never bothered my clover until after my Powerplant had died in the fall and the didn't bother the powerplant until it was waist high. The deer were in the area but seems to graze away from the plot and then overnight they mowed it down to about 3 ft tall and it never was able to get higher.

I've seen good reports on the plot saver but it isn't cheap. Well, not as cheap as me:D.

Good luck with the plots.

Don't know about it, but I know we planted clover this year, and it seemed to get eaten right up....never seemed to do much more than sprout.
Would like to hear other's experiences!
Thanks!

Bars of ivory soap will work a lot of times if set around the outside every few yards. My mother used to do this when I was a kid to keep the deer out of the garden. Don't know if it would work or not these days..............
