Exotic bowhunt
My son & I are still trying to fill another tag with just a few days left BUT we just booked a Texas Exotic Hunt for Exotics & wild Hogs. This is not a game farm. It is a low fence ranch that is 6 1/2 miles around the ranch. Any views on such a hunt???

RE: Exotic bowhunt
sounds like fun to me! I have mixed feelings on the "high fence" hunts. I have heard some of the realy large ones are no sure thing, and are pretty tough. I wouldn't want to hunt deer or any domestic game behind a high fence, but for exotics I probably would. Low fence hunts like you describe should be as tough as anything. Good luck and have fun.

RE: Exotic bowhunt
We did reviews on about 30 different ranches in Texas (around 75 total in the US), some were good and some were bad. The main thing I would talk to the owner about would be is it going to be a hunt or a matter of which animal do I want to shoot? If he says you should be finished by a certain time thats pretty much telling you "Take Your Pick." On wild boar you never know what to expect and can be fun and interesting in many ways.

RE: Exotic bowhunt
I have had MANY e-mails from Texas bowhunters during my search for a Texas hunt. This ranch is no sure thing & not which animal do you want to shoot. We will be hunting hard I am told(thats the way it should be). I will post what happens once we return.
