Ideas on string jigs

I am getting ready to start making my own strings, and was wondering if anybody had any plans or ideas on a string jig. I have looked at the commercial models, and it is a little bit much to spend for a newbie string maker. Perhaps when I get more astute at the art I will splurge on a yellowstone or other model. If anybody has insight on this area I would greatly appreicate it.

RE: Ideas on string jigs

I have the yellowstone, and its great, however its little more than a long piece of uni-strut, its the adjustable ends that you really need. If I were to do it again I would find some of these and head to homedepot and buy a long enough piece of unistrut.

Make sure the posts are solid enough to put alot of pressure on without bending.
