Quickspins

Thinking of trying out some of these and was wondering if anyone had any negative experiences with them?

I don't know about negative. I am going to try these and the Blazers this year as well. I really like the design. I also heard that the quick spins are available this year in a 2 or 3" model that is suppose to be much faster with same stability as the 4". Exciting!!

The only negative is there price and possibly the fact that they weigh alot more than the average full length vane. I've had excellent results with them and can't wait to test the new 2.5" version on my huntin' rig for next season. They also added 3 new colors.

I have used them for the last year. I have bought both new arrors fletched with them from archeryexperts, and I have refletched with them. I will say that using fletch tite platinum, these vanes stay on better than anything else I have tried, but as far as performance, IMHO, they don't work any better than duravanes fletched with a slight offset (2 degrees). I get just as good of groups shooting field points and slick trick broadheads with the duravanes.

Not worth the money if you ask me, 20 bucks for enough vanes to fletch a dozen arrows is pretty steep.

They make a "flapping in the wind" noise. Won't be using them for '05.

I'm 3 arrows into fletching up a 1/2 dozen A/C/C 3-60's with the new 2.25" Quikspins. (all white) Just set the first vane on the 4th arrow right before typing this.
I shoot all mechanical heads so these should be perfect for my set up. I'm guessing these will be in my quiver for the 2005 hunting season if they perform as expected.

Matt, Keep us posted on how much speed you loose with the Quikspins. I helped a fellow shooter install 3-4" Quikspins with 3/32 helical on a new set of ACC's. He lost 7 fps. compared to Dura Vanes on the same size arrow. Just wanted to see if this was what to expect with this new product.[:-]
