I always keep my most recently used bow as a backup and try to get rid of older ones. Problem is I have had to give them alway (literally) since the market is so bad for older bows. I'd rather give them to someone who will use them than watch them gather dust for years.

My thunderflight is still tuned and ready to go. I let my dad shoot it but I've got access if need be.

For what they give you for a used bow I don't know why anyone would trade one in.
