Adjustable sights
Hello everyone, this is my first post here, I have been enjoying reading some of your advice for awhile now, I Am considering purchasing an adjustable sight, The Hybrid bighorn, impact cosmic, quick click by savage are the ones I am considering. Some of the hunters on the other forum that I frequent mentioned that the Cosmic seemed hard to adjust due to the 2 thumb screws that had to be worked. The hybrid Bighorn got good reviews and have not heard much about the quick click. What do Yall think.

RE: Adjustable sights
Don't know much about adjustable sights, I shoot a montana black gold fixed pin. I just wanted to welcome you to the forum.

RE: Adjustable sights
Look into the Copper John Sights they make some great ones!

RE: Adjustable sights
The Cosmic sight does have a second thumb screw but that is what keeps the sight quiet. Every other movable hunting sight that I have seen makes noise when fired because the front of the sight is left loose so when you loosen the back thumb screw the sight can move. The cosmic may be a little harder to move in a hunting situation but I like the fact that it is quiet and it also is the brightest pin you will find!!!!!

RE: Adjustable sights
Welcome Mathews2. Like parker1 said. I have the Cosmic Lite, and really like them. I don't see the second thumb screw as a problem. They're light and very compact. And that bright pin can't be denied.

RE: Adjustable sights
I shoot my adjustable that I shoot in 3d all year. It is custom bow equipment site. Its easy and simple to move. I can use it all year in 3d and hunting season both. I leave it on 25yds unless I am shooting 40 or more. I just placed one on ebay for sale tonight.

RE: Adjustable sights
Moonge, I have the copper johns dead nuts pro, you are right it is a great sight, I have about 15 different sights, just do not have an adjustable. I have(much to my wifes dismay) tinkeritus, I am constantly changing things on my bows. Be it sights, rest, strings, I just cant help myself

RE: Adjustable sights
I shoot an HHA optimizer. I like the pin from the bottom because it does not block any of the sight window from the left or right. It has solid construction and I have'nt had it move when locked down. Just my 2 cents:)you can look at them @ hhasports.com ( i think )

RE: Adjustable sights
I have the hha optimizer also and its a great sight....
I also bought the battery operated light with it and it puts a real soft glow on the fiber optic for early morning- low light conditions. good luck in buying the right one!!!!!!1 Hunting with a bow brings about a different challenge on every hunt!!! |
