drop hunting

For several years i've been out looking for antlers and only came across one half 4 point and half a six. I walk none hunting state property from the end of season till the end of march. i look hard and always walk places more than once. i've never seen deer sign as good as what i see on these properties. what am i missing?

Well I guess I can't for sure say what you are doing wrong but the way to find them is be where they are the most. Bedding areas alot of the time a buck will drop them right where he is bedding. Alot of that deer sign you are finding is probably doe sign try to find big buck bedding areas.

I've read somewhere they usually lose them at night when thier moving alot more. if thats true are bedding areas still good or heavy used runways better.

Heavy used runways are good but the most time where a buck spends his time is where most of them are in my experinece findind sheds.

RE: drop hunting

ive got the same problem, i just cant seem to ever find any sheds. ive only found one which was a 2yo 3pt and that was while I was squirrel hunting.
i walk every trail, bedding area and feeding area i can find but never seem to find any. everyone says to look where the big bucks are -- well if I knew where these big bucks spent their time they wouldnt be dropping their racks after season.
