Tree saddle

Anyone have any experience with the Tree Saddle? Seems kind of expensive, but looks like a great way to tree hunt.

I did a search "tree saddle" and cabelas poped up eith one. If thats it I dont think I could trust it. Slung to a tree with not much holding you. I dont know. Reminds me of rock climbers that spend the night hanging from the rock face, with just a sling, 300 feet up. Now thats putting faith in you equipment. I guess if it fails, you wont be around to sue the company.

Played with one a couple years ago. Not only is it too expensive... to put it bluntly, it's a pain in the A$$ to operate from. What they don't show or tell you is you still have to get up there with tree steps. Once there you have to put in 3 or 4 around the tree to work from... and then it's a pain. Save your money and look else where.[:'(][:'(]

IS THE TREE SADDLE AND TREE SUIT THE SAME PRINCIPLE? DAVID--DID YOU TEST THE TREE SADDLE?

yep, that is it Flintfinger. I don't have a problem trusting the structural design, but I want to know how comfortable it is after an hour or two. This does have a big advantage in that you can move around the tree to hide from a deer and it also serves as your only tree stand/climber that you need to buy. Yes, you still do have to set up each tree with screw ins, or use a climbing stick with screw ins at the desired height. You can also pick various heights in the same tree to hunt from if the shooting lanes call for that.

Davidmill-
How is it a pain? Can you be more specific? Not questioning your judgement, I just want to get the pros and cons of this device.

I shoot stuff-
It is shown in Cabellas. Basicailly, it is like a modified harness that lets you "hang" from a tree using branches or screw ins to support your feet.
