This makes me angry..

My new Hoyt, well, about 1 year old, has paint rubbing off of the riser...I checked to see about warranty work, and apparently it is not shotty craftsmanship, but rather normal wear and tear, they won't cover it.....There has got to be something I can do...

MO,
That's just the nature of dipped finishes, They look sweet but aren't particularly durable and that goes for all manufacturers. How well it will hold up depends a lot on how much the bow is used and moreso how the bow is CARRIED.
Turning the bow upsidedown and carrying with the front of the riser in the palm of your hand is the quickest way to make your finish disappear.[:-]
The oils and corrosive nature of a sweaty palm isn't real compatible with film dipping.

If it's the front of your riser that is void of dipping just add a strip of camo moleskin to it to hide the blemish and make a warm spot for your hand.;) small nicks and scratches can be hidden quite nicely with Prismacolor waterproof markers.

Dipped camo tends to be this way. Just make sure you don't get any DEET on it! That will really make it worse. You can alway add a touch of fleece where it is rubbing off, that will protect it.

If the deer are that close to seeing the paint chipping off you need to switch to a knife.:D As long as your a dead shot I wouldn't sweat it.

my 04 BowTech Patriot Dually is doing the same thing along the front of the grip. So as Matt say's they all have the same problem and i have my doubt's that there is a whole lot you can do about it ,other than the suggestion's that Matt has made .

The only place my camo is rubbing off is on the front edge of the grip, where my wedding shackle rubs while I'm carrying my bow.:D

Good one :D

As far as paint wearing off. It happens, I've had it happen on all my bows, from Hoyt, to Matthews, to Bowtech, to Jennings, to PSE. I think it gives the bow character. But, it does hurt the resale value.
