Let's see your stats for the season.......
 

I've been whining all year about not seeing any deer and it has continued up through now. Granted I have 2 weekends left to hunt, but here are my stats so far this year. I would like to see your's as well....

Climbed a tree 41 times, saw deer only 11 of those times.

93.5 hours on stand and saw a total of 29 deer.

4 deer in bowrange, 2 does, 2 spikes. Killed the 2 does.

Of the 29 deer, 7 were bucks, 17 does, and 6 yearlings. The best buck was in the 110 class.

The above info does not include my unsuccessful trip to Illinois.

So as seen, it was a slow season. I was fortunate to have the shots at 2 does and man am I glad I took them. I may get out 1-2 more times this year, so I still have a slim chance.

never kept a log but am going to next year but i would venture to say i saw 150 deer while in the stand this year took seven with bow and two with shotgun

Whew..............I don't know ???

I started hunting Aug.15 th :

Passed on a 90ish " 8pt , a 100 " 8pt , a 6 pt (12-13" ), several spikes, 4's, etc. with the bow ! Probably 4-5 young 8pts with a rifle , a nice 9 pt (100-110)about 2 weeks ago, and some other small bucks ! Passed on a bunch of does........have no idea how many ! Had two close calls on mature bucks with the bow that didn't work out !

Killed a nice mulie-bow, a buffalo-bow, a 110" 8pt-rifle , a 107 5/8" 6pt -bow, 6 does (4-bow, 2-rifle), and leaving tomorrow to go hunt in AL (for hog and deer)one last time for the year !

Have no earthly idea how many times I climbed a tree or how many hours I spent............but it was a lot !

Had several days that I saw 15+ deer , only about 10 hunts all year that I saw no deer ! I'd probably guess ...........all told......... I saw 150-200 + whitetail this year spread out on several different properties ! Probably 20-30 different bucks mostly from 70"- 110" !

It's been the best season I have ever had..........by far ! :D

i climbed a tree 57 times saw deer every time average of 15 per time out

250 hrs. in stand and saw a total of a lot of deer toooo meny to count.

To many in range to count lots of does and yerlings and 16 different bucks

biggest buck was a 155" 10 pt. which i killed with a bow.

all other bucks ranging from spikes to nice ones. 6 of the bucks were Pope and Young bucks.

lol you guys probably think i am lying but if there is anyone here that knows were clinton iowa is and have heard of Valley Oaks golf course they will tell you just about the deer out there. There is a member named kill_it_and_grill_it that will tell you he has asked me several times to take him hunting but the land owner wont let me take anyone not even my dad. I basically hunt the timber next to the golf course and there is way to meny deer because noone lets anyone hunt around here. The only reason i got the spot is because i begged my neighbor for about a year and i think he got sick of me asking and finally said yes.

According to my log book
30 trips for 68.5 hrs on stand. Saw deer 19 times totaling 121 deer, 35 buck sightings, totaling 20 different ones. I had 9 bucks in bow range. I shot 2 does and a 9pt with a droptine.

Golf courses are my favorite places to hunt. It's the first place I scout when looking for new places.
