AR 31 OR MIRAGE

Ok guys and gals,,,, I have my eyes on two bows, the Browning Mirage or the Archery Research AR-31 Ram and a half.. The bow will be used for treestand hunting and ground blind hunting for turkeys. I need a short axle to axle lenght with a big brace height. I`m really looking hard at the AR-31. I was able to shoot one over the weekend and it was NICEEEEEEE.:):D;). Or if you have any thoughts on bows you would like to turkey hunt with just send me reply. 30 or 31 inches is great axle to axle. Thanks for your time.

Those are two bows that I have been looking at as well. I am generall a non conformist so I dont want to go along with the flock and get a Mathews or Bowtech or Hoyt. Not trying to stir it up, I know those are all great bows, I just like to be different than the next guy. I like to put together my own combination.

I got 2 for the shop this past year and hunted with one. I think its a bit faster then the AR. Very accurate, a little noiser than I'm used to but I shoot recurves alot so maybe its just me. The Mirage is priced lower also. I had mine at 64lbs@29in.,QAD Ultra rest(modified to fit),Doinker D2,Vital Bow Gear 1 pin sight, trupeep, Winners Choice string and cables,Carbon Tech Whitetail 45/65,Bohning Blazer vanes, 100gr. Slick Trick Broad head, arrow weight 365grs.,288fps.Bow pulls very smooth.

My AR34 Ram & a Half was $600 bare....BUT WELL WORTH THE PRICE!

Got it set up with a GKF 3D Rover rest, Copper John 3-pin Hunter, Vibrashock stabilizer, and PSE 4-Arrow quiver. It shoots NIIIIIIIICE. Quick and quiet, smooth nock travel, and deadly accurate.

Here is a fall turkey taken with an AR 31. I would also highly recommend the PSE FireStorm Lite. An excellant bow at less than 400 retail.

Trapper-Hunter,,, The AR-31 about 600 dollars bare bone....Just like VA Bowhntr posted.. ArklahomaVerminator I looked at the PSE FireStorm at the same time I shot the AR-31, IMO the AR was alot smoother and I like the grip alittle better on the AR. I have a PSE Thunderbolt 4x4 right now and i love it, never had a problem with it.;). But I need a bow for turkey hunting only!!! Atleast that is what I told my wife:)[8D];):D..Are you happy with your AR? One plus for the AR is you dont need a bow press to change your settings on the cam. I think you can on the PSE if you hold the strings together to get to the screw (maybe). I will keep looking around but so far the AR-31 has my vote.;)

Browning makes a decent bow...AR makes a great one.

I have a 34 ram.5 and it's a very, very sweet shooting bow.

I had 9 bows last year...everythng from a Browning to Bowtech (I still love my Black Night) to Pearson to Martin to Mathews...

The AR was whats I carried in the woods in October. 9 Deer fell to that bow last season. Amazingly quiet and just plain fun and easy to shoot.

Out of those 2 I would go w/ the AR. I had an AR34. I just sold it and went to a Hoyt. The ARs are very nice bows.

The Mirage is between 450.00-499.00 and I think it pulls smoother than either of the AR's but you should try them both yourself.
