I just bought my wife a Hoyt Saphire bow. She comfortably pulls 40#s back. Iam trying to get the most out of her 40#s anyone have suggestions to a light arrow that will give her the most sufficient energy at an affordable cost. THANKS FOR REPLY god bless, and best of luck this hunting season

Matthews, that Hoyt Saphire is one fantastic bow isn't it. Ideal for women and shorter draws, packs a mean whooomp.

Your best bet is to purchase arrows designed in the 40lb range. My wife shoots a 50lb Hoyt Tenacity II. I have her shooting Beman Carbon Hawks with 100 gr. outsert Muzzys. She get's great KE and punch with this setup. I like carbons for a lighter poundage bow, but I perfer heavier carbons. Don't go too light with her arrow setup, you still want driving force (momentum) KE, whichever you want to call it in the end.

When she ruins her Beman's, I'll probably have her in ICS's or Easton Super Slams.

Goldtipxt 35/75 would be excellant choice. Very tough arrow and I shoot 55/75 in 3d and hunting! I have found them to be the toughest arrow today.

Using Easton's chart I came up with XX75 1913 or a lighter arrow in carbon wold be the Redline 690. I wold think the Redline would give you a little more varience if she goes up in weight some. These figures are based on a 25&quot; arrow. You didn't give her drawlength so it makes it a little harder to figure. Really, you should give the length of arrow she shoots to have a more accurate figure.

Matthews; When I started shooting I was pulling 40lbs with a 26 inch draw, I used Goldtip 3555 with 75 grain field points for 3D and used 100 grain broadheads for hunting and it worked well for me. I now shoot 57 lbs while still using the Goldtip 3555 with the 100 grain fixed blade broadhead and Ive been very satisfied with the Goldtips. I also have my 13 year old son and his best friend also shooting 40lbs with the Goldtip 3555s and 75 to 85 grain field points and they have shot their fair share of wood with them and they have held up well and they seem to get good speed and Ke out of them.

My wife shoots 40#'s out of a PSE SPYDER one cam. She's shooting XX75 2013s with 75 grains muzzys. She's shot 2 deer with this setup and one was a complete pass thru while the other partially passed thru...... about 1 inch of arrow sticking out on the side it was shot and 14 inches on the opposite side.
