RE: Whisker Biscuit Problems
Arnie, I have an old High Country with very little brace height as well. I got a Whisker biscuit this year and had to go to 4 inch vanes in order to make it work other wise my vanes were inside the biscuit before I drew back. I really love the biscuit and this solution worked for me. Good Luck

RE: Whisker Biscuit Problems
You could also use 3" fletching , but if you use the 4" vanes like doctordon suggested you'll be o.k.
I'm guessing your brace height is closer to 6" because I have a 6.5" brace height and I have about a 1/2" from the fletching to the biscuit. "Nocked, cocked & ready to rock" |
RE: Whisker Biscuit Problems
There is a possibility of the arrow being pulled off the string with the interference of the fletching in the rest. If this happens, a dry fire is possible.
This situation can also put a "set" in your fletching that could affect the flight. |
RE: Whisker Biscuit Problems
You should have bought a Muzzy.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Whisker Biscuit Problems
I have the same bow and used the biscuit for two years before going to the muzzy ze. I make my own and used 5" vanes set 1&1/4" from the throat in the nock. This put the leading edge of the vane right at the back side or string side of the biscuit. Presented no problems at all.
