Question about limb savers?

I purchased some limb saver this evening and was wondering if it really matters where I put them? I know most people put them towards the top of the limbs and i was wondering if it would hurt if I put them towards the bottom... If you guys understand what I am trying to say..... let me know

RE: Question about limb savers?

You put them far out on the limbs because there is more vibration on the ends of the limbs for them to absorb. The closer to the riser you put them the less vibration they absorb.

I have some near the tips and near the limb bolts on my recurve ,
between that and String Leeches you almost have to listen hard to hear it compared to how it started out .
