65# here. That's still probably overkill with today's bows.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

65 lbs, give or take a couple lbs. With that weight, I still have no problem drawing when the temps are around 0.

My old '96 PSE Edge (dual cam) is set to +/- 65# and a 30" draw length. It's rugged and reliable and still a great shooter.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

63 pounds here.

At one time shot at 80 and nearly destroyed the rotator cuff and the elbow. At 63 I don't hurt, can shhot 80-100 arrows in a day and can still draw the bow while hunting in the coldest conditions.

62lbs and getting lighter every year. I wish I would have stayed in the 60lb range years ago , my shoulder would be in much better shape.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

72lbs. I also find that I am usually so pumped on adrenaline when in the woods and drawing on an animal that getting the bow back is not an issue at all. I like the extra speed since I am shooting the heavier camo 7595's and I bet my KE is around 80lbs.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

I shoot 62 pounds for whitetails... been passin' clear through with mechanical heads since about 1997. A properly tuned bow makes all the difference for me. I used to pull more poundage, but it's really not required.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

I shoot 65 but you should do a draw weight that you can pull with your warm hunting cloths on and that you can pull in many positions, you'll be suprised how you have to draw.

Up until this year 70#s. I dropped to 60#s this year. Took 1 Buffalo, 1 Buck, 1 Doe, 1 Wild Hog-all pass throughs.
I like a bow I can pull with no problems sitting down-just point-pull, shoot.
Well done. How big was that buffalo? I'd like to drop that much meat at once.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

I was shooting 63lbs with fingers on the old bear panther. Recently went and bought a Hoyt Ultrasport. Pulled it at 60 first time and had the shop turn it down to 55lbs. First time shooting a release and pulling differently.Shot about 24 arrows. Last 3 over exerted myself and I have been sore for 9 days. Taking 2000mg motrin a day plus muscle relaxant at night and still have some pain. I will have them go down to 50lbs next session and work up. Injured the shoulder years ago and thought it was all better. Now I'm thinking of seeing the Doc this week for something cause I think the rotator cuff is torn.

67 lbs. on 29" draw.

RE: What draw weight do you shoot?

29 1/4" draw at 78# - Can't really go much higher, due to arrows being underspined. Stiffer arrows are generally heavier and I'd lose speed, so I'm pretty much maxxed out.
