ok, I can not wait much longer till season starts! man just a few more weeks here in KY......how is everyone else holdding up? Is everything ready to go when it gets here?

itch? ITCH? I've got the RASH!!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Opening day in certain zones here in NJ is Sept 7th!! ...and I'll be on &quot;vacation&quot; with my wife until the middle of next week <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle> I dont get into the woods until the 14th! It's worse knowing that you can hunt but you can't hunt.

An itch???? I think it's more like a twitch... you know the onw i'm talking about. The one in the corner of your left eye... At first you get it when you think about hunting and it gets worse the closer you get to opening day. Then you have it all the time. That twitch in the bottom left corner of you eye that just won't go away. That is onw of the things that I love about hunting. Before the season opens you know that twitch will too. And you yern for it casue you know that opening day isn't too far behind. That's the twitch I'm talking about and the twitch that I love. I'll have it no other way.

Well, I have 11 days left till opener. I have a few things to do but Ill be ready. Cant wait I've been shooting reguarly and have descented all my clothes, I just have to purchase a hunting license and im good. good luck to ya

itch, hahah rookie, im going into involuntary convulsions on the floor,lol i wake up like two nights a week sweating having nightmares about guys poaching my buck and me tellin the game warden and they just laugh, im just hopin i make it through football without any shooting performance injuries

oh man, I am froathing at the mouth, I scout everyday. Yesterday I saw a respectful 4x4 and a very impressive 5x that may have measured 120-130&quot;

I'm worse off than my kids before Christmas morning! Every day it gets worse and my wife has had about enough of my obsession. I think she's more anxious for it to start than I am.

At least I got dove hunting to take my mind off of it.

Oct. 5th for me and after last night I got the itch REAL bad! I got permission to hunt 61 acres right across the river from a big WMA. Place is chock full of deer and two easily hunted funnels!!! AHHHHH!

unfortunately I was moved to california for the usmc. I ve been a pennsylvania bowhunter for 15 years. but loving the sport so much I was not going to let the move stop my love of bowhunting. California bowhunting is much different then PA. Their season kicked off in july for bucks in the north coastal area, and I certainly made sure to participate. I bagged my first california blacktail a 2x2. It was a 25yd broadside shot. I shot him from the ground with my new Matthews Q2XL shooting at 64# and a 2413 XX78 easton with a muzzy 100gr. He dropped after a short run of 35yds. For all of you hunters getting ready to kick of the opening season of bow I wish you the best of luck and god bless.

Season does not begin until 10/5/02 however at this point i cant wait to get home or find a few extra minutes to shoot. Its like im eating , sleeping and drinking for my bow. Im beginning to salivate just writing this. GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE.:)

Get you a TRAIL CAMERA and hunt with it till the Rut comes and then go out..Then you will know where that BIG ONE is..

Seriously, after the begining of October when Deer is in, I don't shoot at squirrels unless I am out after them as I am usually after Deer. The shot at the squirrel could(and has) spooked that nice deer that I didn't see <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Oct. 5 for me can't wait. Going scouting tommarow going to take camra maybe get a shot at something.

Until then deerhunting sims on computer is the way to go.

Well, me & you amosgreg are in the same situation opener for me is oct 1st and that wekeend (oct 4) im goin up. homecoming is oct 5th! My girlfriend didn't understand why i would &quot;ditch&quot; her to go sit up in a tree for a weekend. Ohh well theres other dances after jan 1st when all the seasons are closed!

Itch? Naw............I'VE GOT THE FULL BLOWN FEVER!!!!!!!!!!!
All I think about is hunting now, and unfortunatley my grades at the techschool I'm going to show it a little,hehehe. The only other problem I have is trying to fix a partially stripped hole wher my sights go. I've tried epoxy, and that didn't work. Since about a quarter of the threads do grab I'm going to try lock-tite. I'll know tomorrow if it works or not. If it doesn't then I'll have to &quot;quick-fix it&quot; by drilling all the way through to the other side of the riser, and using a screw with a nut to hold the sight mount tight against the riser. After the seasons over i'll take off the site, and fill the hole completley with JB Weld, and redrill, and tap the hole back again! This will be my first year bow hunting, and i look forward to it! Since I'm a machinist student, I'm even making blue prints to make a completley original no peep bow sight, and my instructor said he'll let me make in the class/shop as a project.
(It's a good thing when your instructor is as big a hunting addict as you are, hehehe). GOOD LUCK TO Y'ALL THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!
