dipping cabon arrows

I am buying a dipping tube for carbon arrows, and I was wondering what kind of paint should I use?

I have had great luck with the Bohning paint and clear coat.

Dipping paint is just an oil based enamel.

Nothing special about it.

When you dip your shafts you need to thin down the paint considerable and dip each shaft twice.

I use Bohnings White enamel to dip my arrows. Thin a little at a time. Let it sit after stirring for about 30 minutes so all the bubbles rise to the top. Mark each arrow at the depth you want, dip the shaft and pull out for about a minute then dip again. Let dry overnight and then dip in the Bohning Supercoat (Clearcoat). Again let dry overnight. You've now got an arrow ready for cresting or fletching. I enjoy dipping, cresting, and fletching my own arrows. Helps with cabin fever which is common this time of year.;)
