Mathews Switchback / Brace Height

I Am In The Process Of Upgrading To A Mathews Switchback. I Currently Have Been Shooting A Browning F5 Tornado. My Use Is Strictly For Hunting. Both Bows Have Similar ATA Of 33". I Have Handled The Switchback And There Is No Comparison. The Mathews Is Much Smoother And Quieter. My Concern Is That My Existing Bow Has A 8" Brace Height And The Switchback Is 7". Assuming All Things Equal, Will There Be A Significant Difference In The Forgiveability Due To The Lessor Brace Height? I Would Appreciate Any Thoughts.

You can check on huntersfriend.com. I don't beleive that the switchback is on there but you can find a bow with similar speed and also similar ata and brace height. The chart under bow comparison will show you the forgiveness ratings. I selected my last bow that way and jumped from a 74 to a 92 with the same speeds just by changing my brace height and ata. My shooting has improved drastically. This might help give you a good starting point. Good luck in your search.

A seven inch brace height is plenty enough for a good shootable bow. Don't let that worry you one bit.
