stealth cams and temperatures

My new stealth cam said that it should not be used in temps lower than 14 degrees. What's up with that??! That doesn't seem like anything! I've hunted in lower temps, but my cam wont work? anyone tested it's limits and know what I can REALLY do with it?

I have made a copy of your post (minus the second sentance) and it will be used in my small claims court case if need be. :D

Has it actually snapped shots in the negative temps??

RE: stealth cams and temperatures

My stealth (digital 1.3mp) dosn't take pics when temps drop much below freezing. Well, it takes pics but if they're night time pics the flash dosn't cycle. it dosn't matter how old the batteries are it just won't do it. Day time pics are ok though.

IMO this is crap. I emailed steath and got no where. From all the post 've read that's no big suprise though. Home brews look better and better after every post I read[:'(]

Well I don't have a digital... so I'm not sure if that will matter or not. We'll see. I'm sure it's going to come down to trying it and seeing what happens. I just wanted to see what other people were getting.
