welcome to the forums waterfx.

just about everyone on here will tell you to go shoot the various models out there and decide which one fits you the best. this is the best way to decide on which bow to get. what someone else likes may not exactly fit u.

top brands are mainly mathews hoyt and bowtech

and i shoot none of em. i have a Browning Rage made by PSE for the reason that it fit the budget and felt best to me in my price range.

I bought a Mathews Outback this fall and am very satisfied with it. Hope you find a bow that works well for you.

Welcome aboard waterfx:)
If your looking for the most popular bows on the market then look towards BOWTECH,MATHEWS,HOYT.
Every bow manufacteur makes a top of the line bow in their brand, all depends on what you are interested in.
Now the most talked about bows this year from bowtech are the allegiance and old glory--------from mathews is the switchback and hoyt is probably the new v-tec.

What kinda archery outfitter do you guys go to. Id love to go in somewhere and shoot all sorts of bows. Most of them wouldnt give you the time a day much less fit you for several bows to see which one you like.

I would reccomend that you go to a archery shop, test shoot a few and see which one you prefer.
