RE: Climbing tree stand
Another vote for the Ol'Man Multi vision. Quiet , comfortable and backpacks great. I have used the others and always go back to the Ol'Man. BTW, I am 255# and 6'3".

SUMMIT TREE STAND
I just recently purchased a SUMMIT VIPER X4. I talked to numerous friends who own a SUMMIT and they all like theirs and recommended that I buy one. I have never owned a climbing tree stand, let alone ever use one. I had no idea how to use a climbing tree stand since I have always built permanent stands for the last 30 years. Since I was getting older now (43) I thought it was time to invest in a stand that I could take with me where ever I went hunting, since I was getting too old to hang upside down hammering nails into trees when building a permanent stand out of boards and scrap.
After buying the SUMMIT ($229 @ Cabela's) and trying it out with a hunting buddy, I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's simply the best hunting product that I have bought in all my hunting. It's so easy to climb with, it's quiet, fast EASY and most of all SAFE. I am a bigger fellow, I'm 6'3" and weigh 270 pounds and let me tell you, climbing with a SUMMIT VIPER X4 is as easy as walking to and from your vehicle. I recommend a SUMMIT to anyone who thinking about buying a climbing tree stand, YOU WON'T GO WRONG. Good luck and be safe. |
