RE: Camoflauge everything

When I started bowhunting, I used my shiney black Browning. I was hunting from the ground, and had several nice shots without spooking the deer. I didn't actually make those shots, but thats another story. I can honestly say though that the shiney bow was not the cause for the misses.

Good point, shadowace. I can dull up the metal easily without affecting anything on the bow. Just too good a deal for me to pass up.
STOP!!!!! Don't dull up that metal!!! That will ruin the looks of the bow. You may want to sell it in a couple years and no one wants to buy a "once was beautiful before I scuffed it up Hoyt" Find some of the bow socks or just use that removable tape. Good luck with the new bow.

Before using any of the removeable tape products, get a good automotive paste wax and wax the riser and limbs real good. A good wax job and buffing will slick up the finish so the tape will be easier to get off when you're ready to go 3D'ing.

Will a red white and blue bow kill deer. I didn't think that it would. Just being sarcastic. Just dull it down. You will be fine.

Thanks. There are several ways I can coat over the the finish without affecting the metal itself. A dirty greasy rag (guncloth), watered down water color (probably not), or light un-buffed wax.

Thanks for all the answers and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
