Im going to be skinning a deer this week, i'm just wondering if when you cut the tarsal gland off do you have to tan the flesh side or anything or just throw it in a plastic baggy?

I use them to hang on trees to attract more deer

I know, thats what i'm planning on doing with them. I just needed to know if its necesary to tan the flesh side or not

I dont .I use them and put some sort of estrous scent on them and keep them fozen between use

Just cut it off and throw it into a baggie.Remember to use rubber gloves to handle though,dont want to stink it up any more then it already is;)
